Sujet: [NEW VERSION] VirtualDJ Pro v5.1 - Page: 11

Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

With the same information that was posted earlier in the thread.

The first thing I noticed after the record video feature (Very cool and much desired by the way), was the video brightness is adjusted with the mixer volume, very nice.

I'm sure there is a way to turn this feature on and off. As cool as it is, there are times I'll want it off too. (I'll find the answer)

Found it:P

Again, very cool feature!

Better to use the install file:

Dlls are not enough because Windows need data in its registry

When I did this I got a Windows message that said this may cause Windows to become unstable and to insert my Service Pack 3 CD to uninstall it. I just auto updated windows which is where I got SP3 from.

Should I be concerned???

Timecode:
- new engine "VDJ Timecode v5" for VirtualDJ vinyls, optimized for scratch (the old engine "VDJ Timecode v4" optimized for needledrop is still available)
- new engine "Noisemap" compatible with most noisemap-based records
- new engine "PCDJ" compatible with most miss pinky-based timecode records

So that does mean that we "beatmatch only" DJs should use the "old" V4 engine for sure ?
And what are "noisemap" records pls ? ;)

For example, Serato Scratch Live vinyl or CD

Ah, thanks DJCel !
And now tell me which of them are the best for "beatmatch" DJs ? ;)
Or is the timecode tracking/reading just up to the VDJ engine ?
Was there any change/improvement to the "old" V4 engine ?

I really like this new version.

I had ordered a Pinnicle Movie box plus (usb capture device), I had another Capture Device on my home computer but it wasn't VISTA compatible. So I got another one. Installed the software/drivers and hooked up a run of the mill Sony Handycam Started VDJ & started the camera plugin.

CHose my USB device as the "camera" and activated.

There was my video camera image on my extended monitor. Smooth tracking and picture quality.

VERY NICE DEV TEAM!!!!

the New BPM/ key signature detection is fairly good.

Serato vinyls are a go.......and for 10 dollars, the transparent yellow ones are a must!!!!! Can't wait for vdj fancy vinyls...yeah.

I can't see it happening soon, I would love to see it though, but I don't think there is a big demand for them yet.

There was that thread started last year about them, it was quite a good one aswell.

tomorrow..me ...guitar center...serato vinyl....even though i got vdj timecodes already..jus for the phuck of it..ima get some BLUE vinyls..if they have em ..lol..and take pictures..and BE HAPPPPPY>>>.

thnx dev team ..yall realllly hit home with this update...no wonder yall tooook so long..thnx AGAIN!!!

um... there i was thinkin i was recording a mix when i finish up and see ***record error*** - can not change resolution while recording?

arrrrgh. and i was having fun too.

and here i thought i had that codec thing whipped.

so after a few smokes, i had an idea for 5.1.01 - a column/field that lists the videos resolution just like it lists artist/bpm/bitrate etc...
is this do-able? among other things it would help control quality of the output if you have to play videos that have different screen resolutions.

just a thought.

I have seen references to a new updated manual for 5.1 but can't seem to find it anywhere (the site just has the 5.0 manual posted for download).....anybody know where to get the 5.1 manual
