Hi dj swagga, to scratch like a real turntable is not 100 percent possible as it is not touch sensitive jogwheel. Butt u can try.

The bestl solution for it is to use timecode route via a TT.

Hope this helps;)

He said that he put the belt between the big wheels and the small wheels.
It sounds better, but......still can't do some scratch mixing trick.
Like holding the music with finger touch, release and go.

Hi swagga,

I think you have three solution right now.
The clip you posted, which doesn't act like a real vinyl.
He hooks up belt between jogwheel on RMX and his DIY pad, and then it become a simple mechanism like bicycle.
The big pad itself doesn't spin. It just make the jogwheel bigger and easy for scratching.

The first solution is the CDJ solution. Of course you need a touch sensitive CDJ and timecode CD then you can do actually scratching.
The second solution is the turntable solution, for this you need 2 TTs and 2 TC Vinyl.
The last one is the most expensive one. Wait for Numark NS7. You can check this thread.
http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/103566/Hardware_Technical_Support/Why_not_Turntable_Controller___.html

I am still looking for RMX scratch solution, and right now I think the 2 TTs' solution will be easier and cheaper for me.
Anyway, the NS7 is fantastic. I really would like to try it if I had a chance.

Forgot to mension.
NS7 is not actually a RMX solution. It's a new controller, but it's fully digitaled.
Imagine you got 2 TTs and mixer in one controller and it actually spins like real vinyl.

so if i go cdj i will only need the downloaded time coded cd

Posté Mon 26 Jan 09 @ 10:17 pm
I think yes.
The only thing you need to do is download and burn the TCCD if you already have CDJ.
After you try it, could you tell me how do you feel about the CDJ scratching with RMX?

you have never tryed it
if not do you think the words will match up right

Well....
That's the reason I said I think yes.
I did some research on this forum, and answer you according to the post here.
If it's not correct, I hope that there are others would come to point me out.
Sorry if I mislead you.
