Hi i was jammin 2 days back and all of a sudden the computer says...the program is not responding.. so i had to restart.. it was a huge embarrasment.. How do i prevent this thing from happening?.. thanks all

turn off user control... its a nasty vista feature

i disabled it a long time ago... i wonder what still causes the freeze..although it has happend just once.. and i also had the vdj just seize from working at times.. i disabled the windows defender and i have not had the tripping off issue since then. Do you think the windows defender trying to run can cause vdj to tripp off?

Windows Defender shouldnt cause any problems, and should be left on, to protect your PC.
But Vista has some freezing issues... Its a buggy OS.
But if you have turned off User Control, and this was a rare thing that happened, you should be fine;)

yea so i tot too about windows defender.. but the two times ma vdj tripped off i noticed windows defender had a funny mark on the icon situated in the task bar..
