First a Happy new-year to all of you en sorry for my bad english, i'm from belgium.
Last night on New-years party i had my new set with me.
2 CDJ-2000 cd players and a acer game laptop with the new years trial of virtual dj.
Everything works great only one stuppid but crazy problem.
When i go from link (virtual dj) to cd and than i go back to the link (virtual dj) the players changed in virtual dj.
Player 1 is than 2 en 2 is 1.
The first time i go crazy, everything is changed.
Player 1 is than on cd player 2 en is nor easy to mix than.
The only thing that i can do was in mapping tab the devices changed en everything was back oke.
I don't know it's a hardware or software problem.
Anybody a idea?

This can happen as it is based on which device is 'first' in the MIDI/HID Device list in the Operating System ... the Eject button is mapped to invert the controller assignments. So next time just press the Eject button to 'swap' the decks.

hi there i have 2 x cdj400s connected to a djm400 which is running virtual dj 6.0.2 pro
i am encountering 2 problems..
firstly, when i hold "cue" after 8 seconds the song just continues to play. how can i stop this so cue runs as normal??
secondly i am experiencing occasional clicks in the audio output.. i attemped to access the ASIO config but the software is saying "the device is in use, so no settings can be made " .. i tried turning off the cdjs and running virtual dj without the cdjs started and still could not access the control panel for the asio driver...
thankyou in advance :)

This is because DEV mapped the CUE button of CDJ-400 by "cue_play" more than "cue_stop". I think DEV should change that.

Yes ... I developed and mapped the CUE button to CUE_PLAY for the CDJ-400... and the mapping is all customizable ... the user can change it to their own liking ... that is why we built the new interface, so you don't need a developer to do everything.
So, if you want a different CUE functionality ... then you can modify it yourself in the mapping ...
Go to Config -> Mapper .. from the drop-down list in the top left make sure the CDJ-400 is selected ... then in the action key list below it .. highlight the CUE entry ... change the VDJScript action to the right of the list ... from cue_play to what ever other action you desire - you most likely want the action that was mentioned above -- cue_stop

You can also make it behave like the buttons on Pioneer CD players using the example I posted on http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VDJScript%20Examples.html

hey guys,
I am still finding that my cdj 400's and numark dxm 09 volume output level is quite low when running through vdj compared to just playing mp3's or cds directly in the cdj. Is anyone else having this problem?

What are the encoding format of the files ? If they are MP3s and not encoded to at least 192Kbps then you are not using near CD quality files.
If they are 192Kbps or better, then what gain options are you using in VirtualDJ?
And just for the record, you will never get 100% identical output from the unit using a CD vs a computer source - they get the signal via to different methods. You can get close with high quality audio files, but they will always be different.

Hello,
Now is better to get a Windows 7 32 bit laptop. The specs, 4GB of RAM, Core 2 Duo T6000 or better (P8600 or Q9000 are very fast options) and look better for an INtel X4500 video card. There are some issues with ATI video cards now that don't let you use VirtualDJ Pro 6. Also we have some users with Windows 7 64 bits that has problems with video mixing. So Windows 7 32 bits is ok to go and also Intel Video card that I put in here. You will be safe to work with VirtualDJ 6 in this way.
I prefer CDJ-400 and any Mixer you will confident to use. I like DJM-800 but use any one you like or could get. Audio specs is the only thing to check on those.
Good Luck!
Thanks I decide to get CDJ-400 and use my Hercules DJ Console as mixer since the CDJ-400 can control VDJ. I found a better Laptop 4GB RAM, 500 HHD, 1GB dedicated graphic, but its a ATI to

I using the hercules with my CDJ-400 as my setupis. I get sound, from speakers but not from headphones to cue music. Is CDJ-400 and Hercules workable with VDJ together or do I need to use a different mixer. Both are plug in laptop with USB
Posté Tue 12 Jan 10 @ 11:49 pm
You will need to upgrade to VirtualDJ pro.
With VirtualDJ Pro you can use just your DJConsole to have your audio output in there or also use CDJ-400 audio outs and the use of an external audio mixer.
That are the 2 ways I see for you, but both need VirtualDJ pro.

Hi people, I recently bought a pair of CDJ 900 + DJM 700 for myself. It was mentioned on the internet that the CDJ 900 can be hooked onto VDJ. I managed to install the ASIO driver and everything, however, VDJ still does not want to cooperate with the 900s (its working well with the DJM 700). Can someone please help me / guide me on this?
Thanks
Thanks

Are you using the latest v6.0.6 trial? CDJ900/2000 are only supported in the most recent versions of the software. Please download the latest trial http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html
If you have already purchased the Pro software, then you can update for free by registering your serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then downloading the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Is there anyone doing additional mapping of the cdj 2000's. I'm trying to get the sync funtion to work for each player individually, and it's not working. I'm using the tag list button which isn't being used in the default mapper. I got it to work, but not seperately for each player. In the mapper tab, in Virtual DJ, under midi devices...should I see 2 cdj 2000's? So that way I can do each one seperately.
-Please explain, thank you.
