I just downloaded and installed the trial version from the internet. When I click on the shortcut, it says error openeing Xml plugin file... then it says runtime error... adn it closes. What do I do?!

"xml plugin file" are you sure of that??? plugin or skin ???
the only plugin xml file for plugins was created by macourtau. It is called "plug_in.xml" and you can find into the effect directory. Remove it
If it's "plugin", it doesn't concern Atomix Productions but the creators of the plugins.Your windows error (i guess) means the plugin is corrupted or there is a possible bug. So do a copy of effect directory somewhere and remove the effect directory inside virtual dj (look inside your hard disk c:program files) and try again
