Hi,
just bought the VDJ Home Edition 5 to mix on partys. At the moment I've got the Behringer BCD3000 here from my best friend. All settings (in my opinion) are set right but I cannot use the mixer right now. Nothing happens if I turn knobs or use faders etc...
Sound over headphones and the output works fine.
Settings for soundcard: I chose the ASIO driver and also the specific Behringer BCD3000 driver in the section below.
the newest behringer driver is already installed.
Anybody an idea?
Thxx a lot right now for helping me solve the problem :o)

The BCD3000 is a MIDI controller for controlling DJ software. Moving the knobs, faders, etc. sends MIDI signals that the software must act on rather than directly manipulating the audio as a standard DJ mixer would.
VirtualDJ Home Edition does not support the use of any external hardware such as MIDI controllers. It is intended for home mixing using your computer's mouse and keyboard only.
To use the BCD3000 and any other external hardware, such as timecode or independent deck outputs to a standard DJ mixer, you will need to upgrade to VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
You can try out the trial version for free for 20 days if you have not already done so: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html

Hi,
thxx for the reply.
Before I bought the Home Edition I tried several times to run the Demo from several legal download sources (just wanted to use that for one party on my wedding next friday) but it did not work out: I download and installed the software. After installing I opened the program. When program starts up the trial period was shown with 0 days left and I was not able to use VDJ longer than 5 minutes (automatic shut down of VDJ). Even an uninstall and new install was not successful.
Any idea?

You can use the trial periode just 'one' time per computer. When you reached this limit, at the next installation there are only a few minutes free to use.
BTW, the demo is not for using in a live situation. If you like VDJ you could buy for example the Home Edition for a few bucks.
Greetings, Heiko

Hi Heiko,
thxx for the reply. I did not knew that using the VDJ-Demo in live situations is not usefull. Thxx for the hint (how does it appear?)
VDJ Home is already bought and installed. Only thing is that the nice BCD3000 cannot be used with the VDJ Home. But that seems 2 be life ;o)
I think we'll use the VDJ Home with Mouse and an additional USB Soundcard on my wedding.

Please view the Audio Setup Guide - found in your Documents\VirtualDJ folder.
There is a dedicated section on setting up Headphone use.
