Hello all,
I have a broken Presonus Firebox that has a 2nd set of outputs that play distorted sound and the ac adapter wire just recently broke off the plug. I think that they are going to charge me $75 to fix it, plus shipping.
I was looking at some simple soundcards to get me through as a backup unit that has multiple outputs. Time code at this moment a huge deal to me right now.
Just wondering some advice on what a good alternative to what I have would be.
I was looking at the numark dj io http://www.numark.com/djio
I have an american audio genie, but that doesn't give me the 2nd set of outputs that I need.

It depends whether you look for 2 stereo audio inputs (to mix external sources) or only 2 stereo outtput (to mix and preview).
If you only look for 2 stereo audio outputs
- Numark DJ IO
- Native Audio 2DJ
- ESI Maya 44 USB
are cost effective solutions.
American Audio Audo Genie is cheaper, but with only 1 stereo output, and no ASIO drivers, so I would not recommend it.

I think I like the looks of the 2 dj, but may go with the audio 4dj if presonus wants to charge me to fix mine.
I don't really like the wall wart, and the distortion has happened to my friends after he had it fixed as well.
