I'm writing this post to address some known issues that keep popping up. So to avoid the same topic over and over again, this is a mini faq.
Status in the forums
No license user - This means you have not purchased VDJ yet and are either using the demo version or the special DJ console version. If you are a djconsole user please take a moment to use the djconsole detection in your profile
Professional user - this means you've paid for a full version of VDJ
Experienced Professional User - This is the next level usually granted by a team member for going above and beyond in helping other users, or have created skins or plugins for VDJ
Vip member - vips are very experienced members of the community, this level is granted by the teamers vip members have a private community for discussions
Ultra Vip - Means you've done a lot for the community and are held in high regard by the team
Support team - these folks are here to help end users with problems most are moderators in forums.
Dev Staff - these are the guys & gals hard at work bringing you the next version of vdj. When the dev staff posts in the forum you should pay attention
Piracy Staff - These guys have the toughest job, Vdj is great software and if you steal it, they will catch you.
Management team - these folks are running the show so to speak
Onto things you should know before posting
1. If you are a no license user, the sound card config is disabled on purpose this is a limitation to the demo version. In other words you will have no headphone preview or the ability to use 2 sound cards. Please do not post "my headphones don't work" with NLU status.
2. Plugins may not be downloaded by no license users. This can be viewed as another limitation to the demo version. Do not ask pro users to send you a plugin.
3. Asking for a serial number in the forum is not acceptable under any circumstances.
4. No license users may not post email addresses
5. www.virtualdj.com is the only legit way to buy vdj, it may not be sold or distributed in any other means than this website. Excluding the special djconsole version.
6. If you bought VDJ please fill in the serial number in your profile, you will get much more help in the fourms.
7. Cracked versions have many issues since they are the demo mostly all of the code is not there for vdj to function correctly.
8. The current demo is 2.1, the latest version is 2.1, (dj console 1.09) support is discontinued on earlier versions
9. Do not post you have a full version with NLU status
10. Use the search, its located at the top of the page chances are your question has already been answered.
11. Post your question in the correct section, before you post ask yourself if this is the correct place to ask your question.
