I use a macbook pro with virtual dj and m audio conectiv.
According to the forums, people say it works great with virtual dj,
but when I use it, BOTH decks on virtual dj only play on ONLY channel 1 of the mixer, and channel 2 has no signal...
Basically, I just want deck 1 on VDJ to play on channel 1 of the mixer,
and deck 2 on vdj to play on channel 2 of the mixer, so I can actually start mixing!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go into settings on VDJ make sure that you have it set for two TCV and external sound card which should say M-audio. That should do it. I use it all of the time.

and make sure your "Output's" setting is set to External Mixer

Ok so my settings are:
Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer
Soundcard(s): 2 Cards
Driver 1: Conectiv
Driver 2: Conectiv
Output Channels: Left Deck: First Card / Right Deck: Second Card
Is there anything else I should change in the settings?
Problem: Both decks still play thru channel 1 on my mixer... I thought it was a problem on my mixer, so I tested it on a djm 400, with the same problem...

Wait. Since you have turntables the settings should be:
Input: Timecodes
Output: External Mixer
Soundcard: ASIO Driver
Try that.

only macbook pro with VDJ, m audio conectiv, and a mixer.

I am not sure how you have selected 2 soundcards. If you have the latest version, settings with conectiv should be
EXTERNAL MIXER: Left Deck Chan 1&2 / Right Deck Chan 3&4
SOUND CARD: Asio Driver M-Audio USB ASIO
or maybe its different for Macs

Are you saying that you get the same problem with the DJM-400's...?
If so then it can't be a VDJ issue. Does the mixer have a channel assign for the crossfader? Make sure that the left side of the crossfader is set to channel 1 and the right to channel 2. Otherwise it will be unassigned and will heard unless you kill the volume for that specific channel.
Cheers,
Roy

Yes, I've tried it with a DJM400 as well, with the same results... deck 1 and deck 2 playing on channel 1 of the mixer only...

What version of VDJ are you using?? I'm using the conectiv and never had this problem..
my current settings are:
Inputs: Single Timecode (but yours will be none)
Outputs: External Mixer
Soundcard: ASIO - M-Audio USB ASIO
I would also suggest going into your computers sound settings and make your onboard soundcard the primary soundcard... this will make sure other sounds from your laptop aren't playing through your conectiv
to help further maybe you could post some pics of your setup

You will need to experiment with the performance settings. Untick safe mode and overclock - try moving slider towards fastest. Adjust latency to 256. You have to adjust these settings for your computer speed.
I have a quad core 2.8 with 4 Gb of ram running vista (9600GT Vid Card - directx 10) and use 128 (2ms) Latency with Enhanced Algorithm and Lowpass filter set to 35 with Filter Smooth ticked and fast master tempo (if I set Advanced master tempo, I get audio glitches). Runs great with cd timecodes and multiple video effects, etc.
