Sujet: NUMARK V7 & CONTROLLER

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Numark V7 to work wirth VDJ. I have been using SSL & Itch, but I like the features of VDJ a lot better from player around with the demos. I am ready to take the VDJ plunge ($) because I really want to mix Video. My Question is can a controller such as a Behringer BCD2000 or Numark Total Control be used with a V7 to mix audio & video. If so how would I hook it up?? any suggestions would be appreciated. I need this info to see if it is worth me purchasing VDJ or purchasing the SSL Video Plugin...

If you purchased Virtual DJ or Numark Cue you would have full control of the software VIA the V7's. The V7 is designed to work with an analog or midi mixer. You would connect the outputs of the V7 to your mixer. If you had a midi mixer you can control the video crossfader with that.

Thanx Skyfxl :), Im curious about the hookup. I have a behringer bcd2000 that has it a line input on deck A, but only has a phono input for line B. Im sure as you know it has a built in sound card, deck B doesnt have a lline input only phono input. What are my options?? Or I have a Numark Total Control & a Maya 44 sound card. Which combo would you suggest using, how would you hook it up/config it?? Is the V7 a midi device?? If it is can you link 2 midi devices to VDj @ the same time & if so how would you? Dont mean to be a pain just want to be sure before I make the purchase.:) I like VDJ features better than SSL.

Ok, I understand that the BCD2000 & the Total Control Are lets say entry level controllers. $ is an issue thats why I am asking these question so I can spend it wisely :). I do have 2 other NON MIDI NumarkMixers(FX5000 & DXM06). Thanx, I Iooked @ the hardware link, it showed me how to hookup 1 or 2 V7's. My goal is to be able to MIX VIDEO/LINK THE CROSS FADER WITH ONE oF MY CONTROLLERS AND A V7. Is that possible using what I have to get me started?? If so how can I hook it up? After I build up $ I can upgrade my Mixer/Controller. I can only afford to take one step at a time :).

Then you will not use the Audio Outputs of the V7 ... you will only use it as a controller.

So, if you take your setup currently and simply add a V7, then you would not make any changes to your sound configuration - that would stay as it.

Down the road you would be able to take advantage of the audio outputs with a traditional mixer.

Thanx for being patient with me but I am not totally clear? How would I configure VDJ 1. Inputs ? , 2. Outputs?, 3.Soundcard?.. Curently say if I wanted to use TCV lets say IN SOUND SETUP 1= TCV, 2=HEADPHONES, 3=SOUNDCARD BCD2000, 4=OUTPUTS(MASTER 1&2, HEADPHONES 3&4), MAPPERS=BCD2000.. OK?? After installing the V7 will VDJ see the V7 or BCD2000 as the MAPPER???

Where did TCV come from ? Do you currently use TCV ?

How are you currently configured for using the TotalControl or BCD2000 ?

And yes, the V7 will be recognized as another controller along with the TotalControl or BCD2000, which ever you chose to configure with it.

Thanx, I dont currently have TCV but I know another dj who has VDJ & a Hercules controller, we tried my BCD2000 but his HERCULES seemed to have more features than my Behringer. My Cue software came bundled with my Total Control. As a next step which controller would be best to match up with the V7?? I would like a combo of midi controller plus analog line inputs. any suggestions?

I just bought my V7 for the 1st week I just had 1 and it worked fine, on Friday I recieved the 2nd one it worked good for a slight test. I am using a Toshiba laptop with Visata 32 Bit Pentium Dual Core 2.0 GHZ processor & 4 GB Ram I believe I am running 1 mb of Cache not sure if that is total Cache or 1 for each processor? The specs ask for 1.8 GHZ 2.0 2GB Ram & 2mb of Cache. Now on Saturday I had a party all was well about 11/2 to 2 hr into party then right side froze up like I removed USB. It did that a couple of times. I then switched to just one it went ok for awhile then it froze up and some songs would bleep out. I came home set my computer to basic look and removed some running items in the background. I also unchecked Ultra Latency & set it to optimize for Quality versus Latency. I ran it today 2 sets of about 2 hours each all went well 1 1/2 then a few times songs bleeped out and once the sound quality of the song was real bad so I had to click on apply in audio set up. My question is what can I do more to keep this from happening? How can I find out about my cache? If it is asking for 2mb & I only have 1 how big of a difference is that?

By the way I am running Virtual Vinyl latest software

Thanks
Snow
