No LED VU meters... high price for what you get, few more bucks and you can buy a DJM800. In my opinion Denon did a better job with their MC6000 which can also be used as stand alone mixer...

All I'm gonna say is: What a piece of crap!

I was trying to be nice earlier in the thread, but now you've said it .........

You know what's happened here, they've had these units for a while but were being greedy holding back milking the current product line and then bang! ADJ, A&H & Denon released there products and they were left with no choice but to take theses two to market even though they are already dated, as with a lot of there products.

Remember the DJM 800, I nearly fell over when I saw that there was no sound card! even Numark etc had been doing mixers with sound cards for years at the time of release.

Also, I would like to see daisy chaining of USB and power from one product to another e.g. DJM series and CDJ series so that you can have neat looming in coffin cases.

Reason I've not got that gear, I look to others photos and see all the cabling for no real advantage other than preference of using a CDJ setup.

I'll just wait until they bring something good to the table, money is in the bank.

PS,

This will be the first midi experience for a lot of the Pioneer guy's, it's only last year I was working with the Pioneer only guy's and all they had was mp3's burnt to CDR's whilst they played from CDJ mk3's. was like a trip back in time for me.

ok i was gutted when this appeared just after buying the VSM4 but now iv looked in to it im happy as larry with the VSM4 uk price is set at £1099 for that i can buy a djm 600 and 2 cdj400s bare in mind in the right ups the new controller is based on 2 cdj 200s its almost a no brainer with the cdj400 you get the beauty of usb midi control and cd for the same price also with the djm600 its a analouge mixer as apposed to a sound card dont think this was pioneers smartest move but hey people will buy it all the same because its new and it has pioneer written on it :(

personal im now looking forwaard to american audios new anouncment on the new version of the VSM4 in a few days at the show

just my thoughts on it

Pioneer have lost the plot. Their gear is overpriced and lacking in features.

The MC-6000 is £679 and IMO better than this.
