Sujet Splitting HDMI signals for two monitors....

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hey folks, hope you can help, I'm trying to run HDMI signal for two television sets out of my Lap Top, so I need at least a 1x2, but I'm looking for the best 1x4 splitter at the best value. Wondering if anyone can suggest a good HDMI splitter, I purchased one from Radio Shack and it didn't want to send two signals at the same time, returned it, and now I'm just checking to see if anyone has a better option for me. Just using the monitors for Karaoke, trying to get hooked to another TV so the other customers can see the lyrics as well as playing some video files in between rotations. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. It's easier to spend money when others have had success with a particular product/set up.

Try a parts company I use based in Ohio, USA. It ships internationally, called Parts Express. They have all the hard to find connectors and splitters at wholesale prices. Google them or add the .com to company name. Good Luck man!

Two down, no luck , I've used the one from Radio Shack and I also tried the RocketFish RF-G1182 from Best Buy, and even though they say that they are splitters, they will not split the signal simultaneously. Back to the store for another return. If I find one that works I will update so the next guy doesn't spend all his money on gas running around for this stuff.

you need a distribution amplifier not just a splitter/switcher. something like these;

a quality distribution amp can be fairly expensive. You may look into multi inputs and more outputs with matrix switching abilities. just a few more dollars can add a lot of flexibility.

Kramer is a great manufacturer of these types of products. http://www.kramerelectronics.com/default.asp

Thanks CVideo, I'll give this one a try, and for $24 bucks, wow, I hope it can split the signals at the same time to view on two tv's. Appreciate your help man, I appreciate it.

We just bought the Virtual DJ, we have our music in an external drive, the Virtual DJ running on the laptop and we have that hooked into our tv using 1 VGA cable. On our tv screen we see the two turntables and a small box for lyrics pops up, but how do we make the laptop screen show the turntables and the Virtual DJ info and then on our tv screen only see the lyrics? Is there some sort of splitter we need?

Would any of these work on multi screen rooms if you had enough? Or would the signal get so weak that it would be unusable??

Thanks guys
