Sujet AKAI Pro LPD8 For VDJ???

I'm new to DJing and i was just wondering if i can use the AKAI Pro LPD8 on VDJ pro? I know that i don't have the downloading license but i'm getting it soon. I am also wondering what is Mapping???

Yup, you can use AKAI Pro LPD8 as a controller for VDJ (once you buy the Pro license). Mapping means that you tell the software which action each button, slider, knob etc. of the controller should do when you press it.

I also forgot to say that I have the RMX i was wondering if i can us them both at the same time on VDJ???

Yeah, you can use multiple controllers at the same time. Just make sure each controller is configured to use a different MIDI-channel.

Any suggestion on how you do that, please?

I'm trying to combine LPD8 to control effects, using Hercules mp3 e2 console at the same time. How do i engage two mappers simultaneously and is it possible at all?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "engaging mappers", but like I said before, it doesn't matter how many MIDI (or HID, for that matter) devices you have connected, as long as they are configured to use different MIDI-channels, so the input signals don't interfere.

Hey guys, I too am a bit new to this form of art and I bought the AKAI Pro LPD8 controller. I just signed up for the premium membership of $9.99 and how do it get the licence to download thw mapping and stuff?

You will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use other MIDI controllers in addition to your Hercules MK4 and to be able to download and use custom mappings. Your Hercules MK4 DJ Console Edition is limited software and supports the DJ Console MK4 only.
