Sujet: invalid drive F:/ ???

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

the title of my post is the first thing that pops up when i try to run the setup... then I receive the msg:

"VirtualDJ Pro ended prematurely because of an error.
your system has not been modified.
To install this program at a later time, run Setup Wizard again.
Click the finish button to exit the Setup Wizard."

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7. attempted to download Version 7.03 at first but it wouldnt download after 50%... so i figured i was screwed. then 7.04 and it downloaded completely... clicked on the Setup icon and this popped up... I've tried right click then clicked on "Troubleshoot compatibility" but no success... is it because i upgraded to a new computer with windows 7?

Use the command line (start..all programs..accessories) , type..
subst f: c:\
and press enter

Repeat installation after that.

This error is usually caused by corrupted registry settings.

Please download the registry tool http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/2170/Registry_Tool.html and verify that the VirtualDJ Home Folder is set to a valid location (Should be the path to your My Documents\VirtualDJ folder.)

Alternatively, click on the CLEAN button to remove the corrupt settings and then re-install the software.

thanks a lot djdad and staff... i downloaded the registry download... but ran the command prompt steps and it worked fine after that. everything is groovy now.. thanks!

You can not download anything from the download area of VDJ because you are not a registered VDJ PRO user please register your PRO version of VDJ to be able to download the plugins, tools and mapper in the download area.

I have never had a problem with the VDJ Home Free edition until recently. Every time i try to open the program, re-install it, or even uninstall it, I get a pop-up that says "Invalid Drive, D:\". What can I do to fix the problem?

I tired to perform the clean re-installation and it will still not allow me to run the program. I still get a pop up that says that I have an invalid drive. How do at least Unistall the software from my computer so that I can clean up the space or continue to use the product.

In that case, please contact support for assistance using the live chat facility: http://www.virtualdj.com/contact/index.html

Support staff can connect to your computer with your permission to look at the problem directly.

To uninstall completely, please follow the instructions on the above link, but stop at the point where it tells you to restart your computer.
