i've done that, the problem is my friend wants to monitor only 3 and 4. With that setup, its only 1 soundcard therefore all monitoring goes thru it.We have have to split headphone jack and take turns cueing. Would like to cue at same time.

As to the second part of your question from the hardware forum -
No you will not be able to 'split' the cueing between the 2 controllers.

It's not a simple setup, but if it was a must, you could do it by configuring vdj sound setup in advance mode, then (assuming that both controllers have built in sound cards) assign deck 1 and 2 sound output for controller 1 and deck 3 and 4 sound output for controller 2.
Then you'd need an external mixer to bring all outputs together.
This is assuming that each dj have a headphone jack in the controller. I haven't try this myself, just thinking of a possibility :)

No, that will not work. You are describing how to do the main outputs - not the Headphone outputs (which was the question) - you can not assign 2 different outputs for the headphones for specific decks.

Just tried it and nope :( it doesn't work. No sound is sent to the controller's headphone output when in advanced mode.
