Sujet Timecoded vinyl and turntable set up

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Ok just trying to figure out how this would work

Numark M6 Mixer 4 Channels

Gigaport 4Chan soundcard

2 turntables

Now My Question is would i be able to still play all four decks and have the turntables hooked up to two channels? would i need another soundcard to have this all connected and running? Or do the turntable RCA cables connect to the mixer?

any help would be appreciated of course

if you have answer please email me becuase this topic mite get lost in the sea of topics

turntables using timecodes require the ability to send the signal into vdj so you need two stereo inputs, it doesn't matter if they are line inputs as you can ground your turntables on the mixer, then if you only have 2 stereo outputs you can split the outs into mono for 4 individual decks, but your best option is to just buy an NI Audio 8, or similar soundcard as your soundcard has 4 stereo outputs and no nputs from what I can see.

I have a similar question, but my controller is a VMS4. I have VDJ Pro, so it can "handle" multiple decks.

Would I just need to get the Timecoded Vinyl to use on the TT? Or will I stll need a secondary I/O soundcard?

If that's the case I am not sure how everything is supposed to be connected.

Sorry Tonyguetterman, I dont mean to jack your thread, but I was wondering the same thing, just with a different controller.

@tony, yep the audio 8 will do a great job, but if you can find another soundcard with 4 ins you could use both cards, or an audio 4 would give you 4 decks in total using both soundcards...

@serkle I'm not familiar with the soundcard in the vms4, but if you have a spare 4 inputs you can run timecodes, if not same advice get an audio 4 or similar
