Sujet Connecting the BCD3000 to a Laptop

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I would like to know if I am understanding the functionality of this controller correctly, and it is only an example and this doesn't pertain only to the BCD3000. I am not saying there are only two ways to connect and use this device but will the BCD3000 work both ways or even simultaneously?

1) Directly as a MIDI controller through USB with the VDJ Pro software.

and/or

2) Through a USB audio interface by connecting the interface to a laptop and connecting the analog outputs into the analog inputs on the BCD3000?

...and then routing the master output from the mixer to a monitor speaker system?

I am interested in having both connections simultaneously because I am not overly impressed with the quality of laptop soundcard. Thanks.

Hi mate

The BCD3000 could be connected both ways although I dont think you would use both at once.

Bear in mind that the BCD3000 already has a 4 chan sound card built in. If used the way it was intended ie as a combined controller/soundcard you would be avoiding the laptop soundcard anyway.
