Sujet Turn sync (or beatlock?) off

When i press the sync button on my hc4500 it seems like Virtual DJ is locking the beat, when i move my pitch fader up and down nothing happens. Sometimes after 5 to 10 times moving the pitch fader up and down it looks like virtual dj is unlocking the beat and i can change the tempo, but sometimes it doesn't.

I would like to have this situation:
Play a track on deck a
Mix a track with sync function on deck b
After the track on deck b is mixed in i want to be able to change the tempo without having to move my pitch fader a couple of times up and down before any reaction is coming.

If you press SYNC then the software and hardware pitch slider positions will no-longer match. To be able to make further adjustments, you will need to move the real pitch slider to the same position as the software, as indicated on screen by the skin.
