Sujet Different VDJ versions on one PC?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Is it possible to have VDJ 6 and VDJ 7 on the same PC??

I know youre asking "why??" LOL.

Well, we are a retail store and we would like to be able to have all the available controllers on one PC.

Most of the LE versions are based on the VDJ 6, but the Denon is based on VDJ 7.

We've been tryin to make it work, but they wont load or crash once both versions are installed.

I've even tried installing them into their own files, ex:

C:/program files/VirtualDJ/VMS4
C:/program files/VirtualDJ/DNMC600

ect, ect, you get the idea.

I think it has something to do with the Virtual DJ folder in the My Documents folder that gets corrupted with multiple installs.

Is there a workaround?

Only one version of VirtualDJ LE can be installed at a time. However, as above, you could create different user accounts on your computer.

However, with the full VirtualDJ Pro you can have multiple versions installed under the same user account.

To do this, first install v6. Then browse to C:\Program Files\VirtualDJ and make a copy of its program file to another name, e.g: virtualdj_pro_v6.exe

Make a shortcut on your desktop to this new file.

Now install v7. The normal VirtualDJ Full Pro shortcut will run VirtualDJ v7 and the v6 shortcut that you made above will run v6.
