I was editing an XML file for a skin and messed something up. The last time VDJ was open, it was open using the skin I was trying to edit. Now when I load up VDJ I get the "error in XML file" message. I deleted the skin out of the skins folder hoping it would just revert back to loading the default skin, but NO LUCK :-(
How can I get past this error now?

You can try this go to the registry and change the value of the skin by doing the following:
if you are using win 7 just type regedit in the search box and it should see it there
if winxp then go to Run-regedit and should see the registry and follow the steps below
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE |Software | VirtualDJ
then change the string value "Skin" by "Default:1024x768"
That should change your skin back to default.
Hope this helps

Important lesson learned - make a backup copy of the skin you're messing with.

Thats exactly how it should work
If you delete the last known skin in use, it automatically reverts to the default skin on the next load up of the software.
