So a few weeks back i picked up a VMS2. The only issue im having is that the jogs are way too sensitive.
I've tried to tinker with the sensitivity settings but this throws off the natural feel specially when scratching.
I've also noticed that the vibration produced when pressing buttons makes it pause (for a millisecond),
not to mention vibration from the bass.
Furthermore, when scratching, the position of the song drifts even if the position of my hand has not moved (Ive marked the jog to see if my scratching is drifting). to verify that its not me ive used my Mixdeck, turntables, DNS1200s and a Herc RMX... its definately a VMS2 issue...
Not sure if its a mapping issue or faulty sensors within the VMS2...

tried grounding wires, thought it might be grounding issues... no cigar...

I can speak for VMS4 which has similar jogwheels i think.
Those platters are touch sensitive, NOT pressure sensitive. Try to work with the jogs, wearing no shoes or sockets (your body grounded).
That means that i can hardly believe that those platters can be affected by a vibration. So for me there is something wrong with your controller.
Question. Have you moved those plastic rings from the Jogs?
You should contact with AA Support.

originally i removed those plastic rings, but this started to happen so i figured maybe they were there for a reason and put them back on.
im not convinced its a grounding issue, but a sensitivity issue. Will call AA... thanks for your reply.

The vms2 to me is perfect. The issue is the American Audio Asio driver. Use Asio4all and then change your settings in vdj. This will make a great deal of difference.
