have been trying to set up the soundcard settings on my bcd 3000. when i set it up i can only get it to work through the basic driver on my laptop(connected via the headphone jack to my mixer) im wanting to connect my laptop directly to the soundcard built into the bcd. can anyone talk me through which settings i need on the audio settings, hope this makes sense as i am new to digital DJing.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I must. That beast WILL work, but you better set up a dual boot. If you know any of this, good, no insults intended.
1.Research "how to set up dual boot on my computer"
2. Search for "setting up my pc for audio"
Do all that, then
3. Install your drivers & VDJ, make sure your wireless card is disabled in your device manager. While you're there, under each insance of "usb root hub" open its properties and tell windows not to shut it down to save power.
I know, it sucks, but it's either that or sell it, they are extremely finicky units, though very capable. I used one for three years before any part of it went out. When I bought mine, nothing was out in that price range that could touch its features. Now, you have many alternatives.
Even with the BCD itself you have choices. I used mine for a while with another sound interface, merely employing the BCD as a controller. Good Luck.
