Sujet Virtual DJ doesn't see my DAC 3 controller

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I have a Dell XPS laptop running Windows XP. I have a DAC 3 controller. Earlier today everything was running fine with the DAC 3 and my XPS .... I also have a Numark mixdeck, I hook my XPS computer up to the mixdeck to make sure everything was running fine with it, and it was... So then I went back to the DAC 3 controller and hook my XPS computer up to it and now virtual can't find my DAC 3 controller... I have rebooted the system several times, I even restore the computer to a previous earlier date. Not sure how I get virtual to recognize my DAC 3 controller. Any ideas or help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

Does anybody know the manufacturer of the DAC 3. I'd like to have someone look at it but don't know what direction to go. I think it may be Numark, but not sure. Thanks for any and all help! Bob

It was manufactured by PCDJ, but it has long since been discontinued and is no-longer manufactured anymore.

If it doesn't appear in the list of USB devices then it is probably a hardware problem. It was quite common for the USB connector solder joints to fail after a while of plugging and unplugging the cable This can easily be fixed by re-soldering it.

The buttons are also very prone to failure, but this can also be fixed in most cases with contact cleaning spray - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Button%20on%20MIDI%20controller%20does%20not%20always%20respond.html

If you are experiencing hardware problems with it, then you may be able to take it to an electrical/DJ equipment repair shop if you (Or a friend) don't have the skills to do be able to do this yourself.

Alternatively, you could upgrade to a newer rackmount controller such as the Denon DN-HC4500.
