Sujet equipment???

sorry if this has been asked a thousand time buuuut i am new to this game and was wondering if anyone could list all the equipment i need and mabey any sudgestions on brand names for each. thanks all the help the better, i am currently reserching what to but now and am looking at a newmark ns6 controller (thats all i really know)

thanks alot, you helped out a big amount. i wasent sure about sound cards and now know what i want and can reserch all the gear properly. so basicly i need controller, sound card, mixer, laptop, speakers and a sub. im gona go external soundcard and self powered speakers, numark ns6 controller and not sure yet on the mixer but now i know what direction to head in.

Well I started off by only using keyboard and mouse as I didnt have a lot of cash, but I really fell for it and bought a Mixtrack PRO as my first peace of gear. You may look at it and think it looks like a toy but damn its so worth the price as your first gear.

It is fully supported with VDJ so you just have to plug it in to the computer, start up VirtualDJ and off you go, depending on where you live it ether comes with VDJ LE or Traktor LE.

It has a built in soundcard so no need for external ones, this soundcard has two inputs (for speakers) and one mic input, in my case I just configured VirtualDJ to use my computer speakers.

Why I'm recomending the Mixtrack PRO is because its really cheap compared to the NS6 in case you find your self 1 year later regretting :P I used it for one year every week, until I saved up for new gear.
