Sujet: Does the Reloop Mixage IE work with VDJ?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I am currently looking in to buying either the Reloop Mixage IE or the Numark Mixtrack Pro.

I am aware that the Numark Mixtrack Por works with VDJ fine, but was wondering if the Reloop Mixage IE does?

If anyone could shed some light on the subject it would be appreciated, and also maybe some opinions on which of them are better for a beginner.

Cheers.

Both are natively supported in the latest version - Please see the list of supported controllers: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ%20Controllers.html

You will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use any MIDI controllers: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

If you are able to purchase the MixTrack Pro with VirtualDJ LE included, then this is your best option because you can upgrade from VirtualDJ LE to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a considerable discount.

I am swaying towards the Reloop Mixage IE, and from a certain site it comes with Traktor LE.

Will the Reloop Mixage IE work with the standard version - Traktor LE or will I have to upgrade in order for it to work correctly with it?

I only have a max of £200 to spend and am only a beginner so didn't want to have to purchase any upgrades of the software, so was hoping to try and get away with just the free versions that they have to offer.

Site I was looking at purchasing from was: http://www.djstore.com/item/relmixageie.htm

Most controllers should work with the software included with them, but in most cases this will be limited. Please visit Native Instruments website/forum for further information about Traktor, which is a competing software product.

If you want to use the Mixage with VirtualDJ, you will need to purchase the full Pro: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Otherwise, if you purchase Numark MixTrack Pro with VirtualDJ LE included, you can use it straight out of the box without purchasing anything else. However, VirtualDJ LE is limited software: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html - You can upgrade later to the full Pro at a discount if you wish.

My advice Jamie, is to get the Reloop Mixage - not the Mixtrack Pro.

The reason? The Reloop Mixage has an ASIO sound card & drivers. The Mixtrack Pro does not.

I am still yet to purchase either of these, but have recently stumbled across the JB Systems DJ Kontrol 3. It is £220, which is £40 more than the Reloop Mixage IE, but is it worth paying this extra £40 for the extra functionality?

After watching the video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=F6cjBHjO2XU ) I was attracted to the more in depth looping functionality that the DJ Kontrol 3 seems to have over the Reloop Mixage. Is anyone aware if that kindof loopingfunctionality is doable with the Reloop Mixage IE?

Anyway, could I get a few peoples opinions on which is better value for money.

Thanks!

It's mapped according to the manufacturer's requirements.

Please bear in mind that most native mappings do not usually have advanced functionality mapped unless the manufacturer specifically required this. Native mappings are normally kept simple where possible to avoid user confusion.

Advanced mappings can easily be created by users who need them. If you have created a more advanced mapping then you can also share it with the rest of the VirtualDJ Pro community via our plugins section: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/controllers.html
