I have an un-branded external sound card that has 7.1 capabilities and a 4 Ch mixer desk.
I did manage to get the 2 VDJ decks to run out through the front/rear outputs of the card at one point and it worked fine into 2 separate channels on the mixer.
A PC startup and VDJ run without the sound card attached lost the settings and, try as I may, I just can't replicate the setup. Whatever I do both decks play out of both outputs - frustrating!
The sound card has the ability to have the following:
2,4,6 and 8 channel
7.1 virtual speaker shifter
DSP mode
Analogue Output:
Headphone
2 Speakers
4 Speakers
6 Speakers
7.1 Speakers
S/PDIF Output
PCM
Whatever combination I try doesn't seem to make any difference.
Within VDJ I've selected
External Mixer
Deck 1 Front Output
Deck 2 Rear Output.
I have ASIO4ALL routine too but that doesn't seem to recognise my card.
I'm probably missing something stupid and if someone is able to put me in the right direction (I've read the Audio Config PDF) I would be eternally grateful. I will take screen shots of all the settings so I can get it back next time!
Thank You
Roy
