Hey Guys...Please help.
I'm just getting back into spinning after taking a 5 year break. From a newmark vinyl set up (what I used to use), I decided to switch to a digital set up (the n4).
So far nothing but headaches, VDJ didn't come with the package as promised from Unique Audio so I had to pay and extra 300.00 usd on here to get going. Now I'm having an issue with the software. I can't seem to have my crossfader change from one channel to the other, I also have no audio in my headphones so I can't listen to mix.
I read the manual for the n4 but it didn't have any useful suggestions. I'm almost thinking I downloaded the wrong software vdj pro.
Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks

there is an audio setup guide in pdf located in the VirtualDJ folder it has indepth explinations of everything you need to setup your audio, but the quick version is:
the crossfader assign is clearly marked "X-FADER ASSIGN" located next to the crossfader on the unit.
in regards to not recieving a serial number with your N4 it is probably too late to recieve the discount, but the right coarse of action would have been to contact numark directly as it would have been a manufacturing error that it was not included..
On a side note if you still have your tables you can hook up timecodes through the N4's soundcard.
- open config.
- goto sound config tab.
- dropdown outputs menu & choose headphones.
- choose the order of headphone/master.
- hit apply and exit.
- if you can't hear the cued audio make sure your headphone volume is up, the cue mix is toward "cue".
