How much Djin will you be doing with your new computer Not free'bee or at home ) you need need a tool that will work when you push the power button to turn it on W/Out NO Problem & your Computer is the 1st step.I had 99% problem with my PC ( Not VDj ) but the computer drivers,AND updates ALL THE TIME,I save my money got a macbook pro 13" from apple NOT USED so I know there wood not be No problems.For the time and head pain and $$$$ repair bills The Macbook Pro is the way to go in my BooK.That is A Working tool for Djin must Have .2yr and work like I just Open it out the box.If you just Dj free party and small gigs under 20 pep 5x a yr and also @ home then PC is the way to go. i have used VDJ for over 5 years on the same computer at work (Dell XPS single core 3gig processor!) before we upgraded to a new one this year (ASUS i7 win7 64bit 8g ram) so we could use the expanded capabilities of VDJ 7. both have run video with effects the majority of the nights.
number of times the old computer crashed in 5 years =less than 10 and only 4 of those during working hours (4 nights a week, 6-7 hour nights.)
number of times the new computer crashed this year = 0
number of dollars spent on repairs = 0
number of viruses or malware instances = 0
we don't do "free parties", we are a 1000+ capacity nightclub that frequently goes over capacity.
setting your driver and system updates to run when YOU want them to run is so simple even a serato dj can do it.
everyone's preference in equipment is different, and ours let us spend HALF of what a macbook would cost with more capability and more upgrade room already built in.

Thank you for all the input I am getting back into djing after taking 2 years off all so let every one know I am a mobile DJ doing wedding birthday party school dance. I'm all so getting my web site www.customsounddj.com back up and ruining my site at this point my site is under construction. At this time I am here in General Santos, Philippine with my fiancée. I will be returning to us at the end of Aug by that time I hope to get my site all done.
I think I be going with a PC I want to build one what be good Intel CPU, motherboard, memory how much, power supply, hard drive should I get 2 drive
1 Solid State Drive and 1 2tb 7200 rpm drive and video card I want to run 3 displays I want to VDJ with music videos.
P.S. internet here in Philippine is slower then christmas it like I when back 15 years.
