Im afraid from reading various reviews and opinions from some pro users I wont be investing until V8 is released. I did keep a close eye on topics as they were raised in hope there would be more of V8 within VDJ as it stands. As for bug fixes these should be be attacked at every opportunity in order to have a greater degree of stability for the customer base and of course its users. Your constantly working alongside your clients for bugs and implementing fixes. As for the addition of numerous controllers, it widens your marketing, changes that are present within such technology its the companies responsibility anyway.
However keep up the good work.

I can't confirm the loop bug myself.
I use loops since I have VDJ and I used it with more than one controller and more than one laptop and desktop.
I use loops the whole evening and at every gig. I'm a loop wizard now hahaha.
I did a gig last week and had 4 decks active on my Pioneer Ergo and three of them were in a loop for about 8 minutes...
No problem here. Never had a problem with a loop. Maybe it is the soundcard?

it IS NOT the sound card as i have tested this myself and the only work around is to back it up to 7.02 or dont use looping! I have tested this with NI sound cards (audio 8 and the complete) and 2 different Denon sound cards( x600 and mc6000), I also mixed and matched controllers( vci 100mk2, VMS4 and Denon MC600) with the sound cards and all had the loop bug anomaly at one time or another! This is a REAL issue and will stop the party.
using a ASUS N53sv windows 7 64 with intel i7 2.0 quad core 2d gen and NVIDIA 640m 1g card 6g Ram 7.02 and lower is fine.
thinking of starting a loop bug thread just so the people here at VDJ are aware of this anomaly.
*** just read back into this thread and i do see that VDJ is aware of this*** the program remains stable for me otherwise

I had loop bug with my MC-6000 controller time to time, but and longer with a new vci-400 controller. It's not end of the world if it happens live, just quickly touch the wheel or nudge or change pitch, whatever that affects to the deck, and the volume comes back. Okay silence even short is always embarassing I must admit that. I used mc-6000 for almost year and loop bug happened once at the club gig.

I have also Asus N53S windows 7 64bit + mc6000 and I got loop bug time to time.

"For those waiting patiently for Virtual DJ 8 to drop, looks like you’ll have to carry on waiting, although we do have some progress for you.
For a start, the software has a smart new skin, subtly building on the old Virtual DJ skin, in dark grey instead of black and with a more 3D look. There’s a switchable panel between the decks and library to cycle through cues, effects, video, samples etc – similar to the way Serato DJ does it.
The software has to be rock solid first, and the company is quite happy to take however long it takes to achieve that.
It will also have coloured track waveforms, a feature also to be included – we can also exclusively reveal – in Virtual DJ 7.2. (Indeed, this is actually the only change in Virtual DJ 7.2 over Virtual DJ 7.1.)
Regarding release date, the Virtual DJ team say it’s getting closer, but the software has to be rock solid first, and it seems the company is quite happy to take however long it takes to achieve that. The latest word is Q2 next year."

So is this for real? .... V8 12 more months away!
Nice to be kept informed ..... disappointing its not directly from Atomix.:(

WE Had really good updates every 2/3 months from V1 to 7
I really can't imagine how many new features can have Vdj8 in more than one year of hard work .
So : ATOMIX , take your time , as much time you take , much better will be our Vdj8 .
I know something : nobody , NOBODY , really know Vdj7 at 100% .
As an advanced user i discover new things all the time !
WE will need 3 months to learn how vdj8 works .

i can say that i'm littlebit disapointed with that 7.1 update.
Cannot say what i realy waited it to have in it, but we only get playlistsharing? that is a ok feature to home dj's i'm sure... they can share playlists and can get acces to Virtualdj radios playlists what people are playing in there... But wait we did have music groups and geniusDJ all ready.. Personaly i think that Vdj is now falling behind from competition of pro users. Traktor and serato has make theyr jumps and got vdj's lead overtaked after the 7 version with 4 decks rolled out.

Traktor is a good piece of software , but they need a better browser .
If you go to SEARCH , you can't go back directly to the folder where you was before , something that we have in Vdj for years , first with a shortcut called "goto_last folder" and after that with the system that we have now (simply perfect)
Also Serato needs a better Browser , with those CRATES that remember me the OLD PCDJ .
I only can wish a better Grid & sync options in Vdj8 , all the rest is perfect for me .

Serato : they don't know where they want to go . With the new Serato software they are just saying : WE WERE WRONG !
Itch was a big mistake . Just take a look at the Serato forum .
Traktor : in the forum they are asking for smart folders , they are also speaking about VDJ , in the meantime we have smart folders , virtual folders , etc . The Traktor users are asking for a better Browser .
For the moment is impossible to have all people happy , Traktor users wants to have Vdj features and Vdj users wants to have Vdj8 as soon as possible .
Coloured waves for 7.2 are OK , but it would be better to have the new SOUND engine before .
And again : better grid (I hate the squares)

Don't get all hung up over CloudLists... It was a bonus! It was made very clear from the early announcement on 7.1 that the main reason was to update the controller support.
Even if there was 5, 10, 20 updates in 7.1 people would have still found a reason to complain.
You also have to remember that re-writing software from scratch means that it makes it more difficult to move tings between 8 and 7 - potentially nothing in 8 is compatible with 7 and therefore getting CloudLists to work probably took a fair amount of effort which they did for our benefit!
It appears that Atomix are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
As for these "7.1 nearly cost me my job" statements... More fool you for taking out 7.1 without properly testing it first. I've not even installed 7.1 yet and will only do so when I know I have a clear few days (weeks even) to make sure everything is as it should be.
Cheers,
Roy

Sorry, VirtualDJ LE is free limited software and is not eligible for updates (Except where this has been specifically arranged by the manufacturer.)
However, you can upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro either now or in the future and get the latest version as well as any future updates: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Just to let the teamers know.
Two gigs in a row with 7.1 One 7 hour
Wedding and one 4 hour music karaoke gig,
All good! There was one thing, the cross fader was acting a little funny,
When I would move it on my rmx it was not reacting
With the software it was dragging a little
Behind with the software until I loaded another song
In deck 2 this also happen on my mixdeck quad
After updating to 7.1. But other than that everything
Was all good!
Thank you for a great software!
