Hi guys I poste before an no one replied. Maybe if I explain a little better I can get an answer. Does anyone know how to assign the controls from the xdj so that all the buttons work? The tempo works when I slide it on the console it also slides in the program. But that's pretty much it. I want to assign the cross fader and the levels can anyone help me please???

What sound settings are you using in config?
If you're using 'internal mixer' then the Aero controls should be assigned to the VDJ controls, because they're all MIDI mappable according to the Aero manual. I don't know how the mapping is assigned, but the Aero does have native support in VDJ now.
If you're using 'external mixer' mode then you don't need the controls on screen - you have a real mixer in front of you!

As groovindj asked, did you change the XDJ-AERO's mixer setting to PC? Page 26 of the XDJ-AERO manual - bottom of the left column.
By default (out of the box) it is set to XDJ-AERO which is to be used when NOT using DJ software.
You have to change it to [PC] mode to used with software like VirtualDJ.

I gave you the page number in the manual for the XDJ-Aero -- it's on page 26.
After you set it to the correct mode, then all you have to do is run VirtualDJ and everything will work.

I'm connecting my laptop with the virtual dj software to my Pioneer XDJ-AERO & trying to licence the software with my controllers serial number & keep getting invalid code message...how do I register the software with my device serial number?

Quick answer - you don't use your XDJ serial number to register Virtual DJ.
You need a Virtual DJ license (which is not a serial number).
Once you buy your license from here, it it linked to your forum account. You then log in to Virtual DJ using your forum name and password, and it will recognise that you have a license.
