Hi
Apologies if this question has been asked many times already - I had a look through the forums and couldn't find an answer.
I received my new VMS4.1 last night. I connected it up (already had Virtual DJ Pro Edition on laptop). I used the provided CD and installed the Asio drivers. When I tried to play a track via my laptop/VMS4.1 there was no sound output!
When using the microphone, this worked fine. I checked all my laptop settings - everything looks fine. I then deinstalled the old version of the Asio drivers, rebooted and still no sound output. I plugged in my old Numark controller and this worked fine.
As a last resort I installed Virtual DJ LE (which shipped with the product) but again, nothing.
Any ideas??
Thanks.

Please register your Pro serial number on your profile page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (Especially if you are working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.) Your VirtualDJ LE should entitle you to a discount providing that it's not second hand.
Did you connect a pair of amplified speakers to the master output on the back of the VMS4.1?
Please see:

If it's no-longer under warranty then the following may help:

I bought this package on-line http://www.cheapdjgear.us/DJ_System_p/djsys-42.htm. I have set up the hardware installed the software package and I am getting no sound from the speakers. It was only coming through the laptop speakers but now I am getting no sound at all with the USB cable plugged in. I have tried the MICs and they are also not working. I have followed the wiki http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VMS4%20/%20VMS4.1.html with no luck. The only difference I can find is in:
4) Audio Settings:
--- a) Window -> show audio window
--- b) find the VMS Audio Midi Device in the left panel
--- c) should read 2 in / 8 out
--- d) right click
--- e) use this device for sound output (it's optional, this is only needed if you plan to use another software like iTunes and want to use --- this VMS4 as your default output. VirtualDJ don't need it, you can still use another default out for your other softwares).
Mine reads 4 in / 4 out instead of 2 in / 8 out. I can't find a way to change this option. Could this be my issue or something else?

There is switcher on the front side of the unit.
Power off the VMS4, switch to 8out, and then power on the unit again.
It should re-detect the unit and it should now show 8out/2in in the Audio Midi Setup.
You may also have to configure the Speakers in the same Audio Window of your Mac. There should be a choice to set it to 8 speakers i think.
Btw, i am not sure which Output connections you have used, but probably you will need to use the AC Power Adapter if you need to use the XLR Outputs.
