Hi all,
I'm new to this forum having just started to try out VDJ having been a Mixxx convert for some time.
My question is more to do with the VMS4.1 than the software.
I used to use Mixx in a 2 deck configuration on Chn 2 & 3 and feed 2 CDJ's to Chn 1 & 4 as a back up source.
I would like to use VDJ in a 4 deck configuration but retain the possibility of using the CDJ's as a backup.
I have VDJ and the VMS configured as 4 deck and it's working fine.
My question is: If I plug my CDJ's into the analogue inputs for Chn 1 & 4 can I simply switch channels 1 & 4 to analogue and play out using the CDJ's?
Or would I have to reconfigure ASIO, VDJ and VMS settings, power down etc. to make it work?
The idea is to have a seamless backup in case the laptop goes into a strop, as these things do from time to time.
I'm worried about just trying it in case it isn't safe to switch these things over without powering down.
Any advice or alternative ideas greatfully recieved.

Yes you can....;-)
Switching the Midilogs from USB to analog is no problem even during playing music on the other channels....
