Hey guys, I am trying to help a friend, I realize that this controller does not support win8 but I have heard others got theirs to work with win8. Anyway, I downloaded the FREE Home edition version to try it out but the controller does not recognize VDJ, any ideas please?

If you use the latest version it SHOULD be recognized automatically, but it wouldn't work for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Which VCI-400 is the device.. the DJ version ? Does VirtualDJ see the device as Simple MIDI ?
Only the original model version is natively supported. The DJ model requires a custom mapping http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/16272/Vestax_VCI-400DJ.html (available for registered Pro Full users only)
