In VDJ7 if you looped for example 16 beats, the loop would stick on those 16 beats - so when you scratch, the loop start and end doesn't change. However in VDJ8, the position shifts to the end of 16 beats as shown in the video. How can I prevent this from happening?

The play position is following the loop, scratch to before the loop start and it will jump to loop end (Loops work in both directions now), if you want to scratch the first beat don't put it in a loop, use a hotcue to jump back or a 'goto -beats' script.
