My ACPI is hitting 1.7 ms but it doesn't hit audio output.

Run it thru your gear you might be fretting about nothing.

True, I am the type who tries to get to the bottom of everything. Sometimes just comes up again with dirt all over my face :)

Windows has a build in driver package to support many different devices. Sometimes they work really well, but it's still better to use the manufacturer drivers.
If you mainboard manufacturer is i.e. MSI, go to the MSI homepage and search for the driver.
Or if your Laptop is from ASUS, go to the ASUS page and get the drivers from there.

It's a Sony Vaio, and I actually downloaded everything they had for this particular model. So I guess it also covered the mainboard drivers.

After all, it appears my concerns were not really needed.
Even though I have both Wifi on, and ACPI is causing high peaks, I see total peaks of 15mS from time to time, I have no problems with the sound quality.

Can someone explain why those peaks does not disturb the sound performance? Does it apply to different lines/busses/IRQ's type of thing?
