Wondering which places you guys use for buying and selling used DJ gear? I have some high end Pioneer gear to sell and want to avoid high fees (thinking that ebay is slightly expensive).

I'm going to say Ebay, some people are addicted to it. I've been procrastinating for a few years about selling my gear and two friends have told me Ebay. Both are addicts lol.

The best place for me to buy used gear is Craigslist. I live in New York and there are tons of adds for Dj equipment.

look on Facebook for buy and sell like in your area... here in Adelaide , Australia... we have a page for buy and sell for Western Suburbs, a boat and fishing gear sale page and a DJ gear sale page

Maybe Atomix should consider starting a new forum just for it's members buying, trading, and selling!

Yes I found some local FB groups with seller options which is good, as ebay takes 10% off the final sale then there's paypal fees, so it's only a good option if you can't sell locally.

Facebook local DJ pages or DJ forums.
Ebay fees are scarily expensive now, typically around 12% of the sell value.

In the UK gumtree is pretty good I picked up a 1200 for £100, a bit battered to look at but it was 30 years old Japanese built so as solid as a new build, I also picked up 4K's worth of speakers for £200 (fane classics, custom builds & 2 wharfdale 700w subs)
I'd say look for a free listing site because sometimes people don't know the value of what they are selling.

I doubt that will happen. Two big reasons why. #1. Opening a forum implies tacit support of selling used goods. ATOMIX is working closely with equipment manufacturers, who make nothing from resale of goods. Hence, ATOMIX would be giving the impression of undermining those companies they work closely with. #2. This is an international forum. The headaches of dealing with different countries laws on importing/exporting of goods is mind-boggling.
Not to mention, the ramifications if one user didn't follow up on a deal. ATOMIX would be implicated if it ever became a legal battle.
