I am seeking help here as I have had no help dealing with Numark directly. They continually tell me to try the same methods,
with no fix insight. This issue seems to effect Numark NS7FX, NS7II, NS7III & 4Trak, PC, Mac, Virtual DJ, Serato & Traktor Users alike.
I am convinced that the issue is either my PC or the Numark drivers!
Problem: Sounds like an old crackling record After an hour or so Into a gig, I get a static, crackling, popping sound thru the speakers, headphones, master & booth outs. This happens on both the NS7FX & NS7II using Serato or Virtual DJ.
The sound happens much, much sooner if I am DJing at a nightclub with amps turned up pumping a lot of bass.
Issue does not show up if running background music with very minimal volume and hardly any bass.
Equipment: NS7FX & NS7II / Toshiba Satellite PC Touch screen / 8 GB Ram / Core i5 / 1TB HD / 88 Percent Room left on HD / Windows 7 Pro. Virus Free. Minimal programs installed. Virtual DJ 8
DJ Software: Virtual DJ & Serato.
What I have done to try and fix with no help:
Optimized computer. Increased PC Page filing Size. Increased USB Buffer size. Updated PC Bios. Checked for outdated PC drivers. Lowered page refresh rate. Adjusted Latency In DJ Software. Used USB Port closest to power on PC. Tried both 2.0 & 3.0 USB ports on PC. Bought new expensive cables. Removed and reinstalled latest driver from Numark. Installed Numark firmware update. Removed and reinstalled both Virtual DJ & Serato. Made sure to ONLY have one DJ software installed on PC at a time. Shut off WiFi & Bluetooth. Ran DJ PC optimizer before DJing. Bought a power conditioner. Double checked outlet grounds. Disable all PC add ons like screen saver etc.
The only thing I have not done is try a different external HD for my music, currently using a Toshiba 3.0 1TB HD.
Any suggestions left short of setting my unit on fire? lol
If anyone has heard of, or is having this issue and knows of any fixes or suggestions then please comment and post!
Keep in mind, I have seen people with this exact issue using Mac & PC as well as Virtual DJ, Serato & Traktor.
If you are currently running the NS7 flawlessly in a gig, bar, nightclub high volume bass heavy environment
(not your bedroom) then please tell me what type of laptop and software, version of windows etc. you are using!
Thank in advance!

I think a common problem with Numark NS7FX & NS7II Sound Issues is bad Sound Static Feed Back with my 4TRAK. That may have to do with the current operating system your on and version of Traktor. Please indicate to us your current operating system and which version of Traktor that you're using. And some of the issues like overall problem with this Numark NS7FX & NS7II Sound is Overall problems with Numark NV DJ controller. First off about two months into using this controller it started to auto disconnect from serato and stick while in playback, updated my serato version the problem persisted so I changed the USB cable and it worked normally so I'm already at a loss by having to buy another cable for a brand new controller and no there were no kinks, tears or breaks in the cable!

Hi, just ran into the same issue. I'm using a macbook pro with 16 gig RAM. So it should be able to handle the NS7iii. Any fixes yet?

If you look above it says:
"Keep in mind, I have seen people with this exact issue using Mac & PC as well as Virtual DJ, Serato & Traktor."
So it doesn't look like it's a Virtual DJ issue, which means that there probably wont be a Virtual DJ fix
But maybe Numark has figured something out? Like maybe a new version of the firmware...
