I have a USB 7.1 (8ch) sound card that 8.1 sees all outputs. I created a new 8.2 settings file and connected to the USB at a job - figured it would just work. That's what I get for thinking... <grrrr>
It only saw 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 but no 7/8. So I copied the 8.1 settings file over and it did in fact see the 7/8 on 8.2
Now what is the 'etc' in the sound card settings? Aside from that, 8.2 was very well behaved but some effects were distorted. Flanger for one sounded horrible. I think that is a result of the prev settings file I used.
