When you're seeing the jerkiness on video, is that just on the laptop (the skin) or do you have an external screen connected and see jerkiness there too?
If it's the latter, what happens when you minimize VDJ and the CPU goes down? Does it cure the jerky video?
What encoding does the video use? Have you tried videos with other codecs?

it's on the skin plus external screen, if i minmize VDJ the CPU drops to 9-12% and the video is playing perfectly, the video am playing is an 1080p mp4, not tried any other format except mp4 shall i try vob?

I thought you said you optimized your computer but i see cortana open and an antivirus installed. Might be related. Try and disable them. ON two computers that i am testing now virtual dj build 3523 my cpu goes to 9% max. Something else to try is to re install virtual dj.

i have optimized it, cortana just comes back when i end task plus that's not using any cpu?
ok so i'm going to have to eat my words and apologise because i've ran VDJ8 with the integrated graphics and when maximized CPU only at 14% and video playing perfectly
so why is that? lol

yeah it doesn eat up cpu and memory. both cortana and your antivirus. Windows 10 already has an antivirus. dont need a second one.

i've uninstalled them, so what can i do to get the nvidia working properly like the integrated graphics?

Which version of the nvidia drivers are you using? (looks like mine is on 375.7 with a gtx 960m, and I don't have a significant cpu usage difference between the nvidia and the integrated)

I found a solution that helps me. I just got the ns7iii. But I been experiencing high cpu with 8.2 I just upgraded from version 7. Cpu was not an issue. With 8.2 the screen and sound would freeze when I loaded my next song. After doing a lot of research for the last 2 days.
I found out that if I go into OPTIONS and go to SONGLOADPRIORITY change the setting to IDLE. VDJ will load the song slower than normal but at the same time the Cpu wouldn't go all the way to 100% to cause the screen or music to freeze.
I really hope this help a lot of us

That's not really realistic when you mix quick. If that's not an issue then cool but for someone like me who mixes quick at times (verse, hook, out to the next track) I need my tracks loaded fast.
I'm not sure what's going on with his machine but I have a set of CDJ's in midi mode, a DJM 850 for my sound card and video control, a DDJ SP1, 2 instances of Tellymedia running with animated logos and 2 usb cameras running, TellyVisuals running with my animated logos running and then I have IMU running which is text2screen software.
Now with all that running I don't have a high CPU usage or freezing of videos. Sometimes my videos don't load as fast as I'd like but nothing that interferes with me playing.

As you can see it's nothing that great. Also still running Windows 8.1

I mix quick A lot myself. But to have a track load a slower to avoid your sound or screen is realistic to me.(and it doesnt load as slow as your think) Especially with the trouble that a lot of us are having with the high cpu

ok so i've copied my windows 7 laptop settings from VDJ and done same on my new laptop that as windows 10 and i'm still getting the same problem, i think it might be my graphics card after all because my pc has windows 10 and that works perfect with high performance graphics card selected, so the laptop is going back today, let's see what happens, i'll keep you posted

There is a problem between the latest Nvidia GeForce GTX Graphics Drivers and VDJ 8.2
I'm waiting on an update from Nvidia and I'll look at rolling back VDJ 8.2
I've tried all avenues... and I optimise DJ laptops all the time...
One minute everything was working fine and dandy, and now it is not after the latest updates !!
