Just wondering what Custom Buttons everyone have created. I'm looking for some suggestions. I have "Unload" - "Browser Zoom" - "BPM 128" - "Repeat Track" - "Save Set" - "Load Set" - "Mute"

Heres what I think
There should be a "Custom Button Panel" included somewhere in the skin similar to the Pads.
(Phantom DJ's skin has an awesome implementation of this)
But i would have like Four Panel Groups for linking similar buttons/actions.
Then users could submit Buttons(or Groups) similar to Pads
Just my thoughts.
anyone else........

Okay, great ideas, but my original Post Question was this in other words: What features or tools are you utilizing through your very own Custom Buttons or Dials/Knobs. I think some suggestions here would help us new DJ's and Virtual DJ students. Thank you for your suggestions. You can even include "Why" you use the feature/tool as a Custom Button.

Well I have the custom knob on the one side set as my master sample volume so I can see what my sample volume is set too, and then the other knob is set as my group sample volume. I use 8 groups so i have just set it as the group i use the most. The three buttons each side are mapped the same, but each side for each desk. One is "unload" and then the other two are set as "loop_load_prepare 1" and "loop_load_prepare 2". I only use the unload buttons if i am messing on computer and dont have the controller connected, as i have a button on my controller mapped for the same thing when connected. The loop buttons, i set them up when i first started as the plan was to have two loops set up for each track, one at the start and one at the end of each track. These buttons then make the track automatically enter a loop at the start and at the end. Though the reality is that I dont actually use them now I kind of know what I am doing as I just do the looping on the fly if i need to, which mostly i dont.

If you want to do this with custom-buttons:
for 5-star rating
works with VDJ BUILD 3523 (2016-11-24)
browsed_song rating 5
for 5-star rating
works with VDJ BUILD 3523 (2016-11-24)

Andy7689, Thank you very much for sharing your Custom Button choices. I like your ideas and I am planning to use them as well.

Imho you can save that button for something else because on the skin there is an icon on bottom left for browser zoom.

I use them mainly as visuals, is and fx on [but not on a slot], I've one or two to show [and toggle] shift, also mute [just because a weirdness in my mapping]
sampler stop all has uses.
pitch_lock is one of those I use a bit, [but not enough to have a controller button for it]
Lots of things here that could spark you imagination

No worries, the whole loop load prepare thing I may go back to at some point, as there is some merit in it, it does mean that a song will never play out while you listening to another track on headphones, it will just auto enter a loop at the end of the track. Though to set them up for each track would take many hours/days.

logodog, thank you! Using Custom Buttons for Visuals is a great idea! I find myself "fumbling" for Visual Effects, etc. through a decent sized list. Assigning favorite visuals to some custom buttons is useful. "Sampler Stop" is another great idea. Thank you again!

If you use the eyedropper icon (script learn) you can find out for yourself, also there is the browser sort pad page that already does this.
