Try broadcasting as a podcast rather than just a recording. That works for me, and it's automatically saved on your homepage for your friends to hear.

Senior Moderator,
I've been a Pro Subscriber for a while now, and I get the same message whenever I try to record a set where one of the songs that I downloaded to cache from Content Unlimited is playing on any active deck.

One way to get around this, is to record using a second PC (or a second sound card with a recording software) rca cable from master to line-in on the second PC.

But that would be illegal. The protection is there for a reason. You don't have the right to record the tracks.
In fact even if you had purchased the tracks, legally you would not be entitled to record (make a copy) and then upload & share (distribute) copyrighted material.
When you purchase music, you're actually only buying the right to listen to it. You do not have the right to copy, use in public performance, broadcast, hire, rent etc. without the consent of the copyright owner. This has been law for hundreds of years.

groovindj is the only Dj in the world that doesn't have any recorded sets of his own, so it seems.
We are talking about recording his set, not distributing or making money out of it.

I'm making a statement of fact about the law regarding copyrighted material. I am not talking about what I personally do or don't do.
As we're on the subject though, no I don't regularly record myself DJing, or upload them for sharing or listening. I've been a DJ for a very long time. I'm over that.
I used to record vinyl onto cassette tapes back in the 80s, and take them in to work with me so I had some music to listen to. I didn't keep them though. The tapes got recorded over with new music the next week. And yes that was illegal. The BPI had a slogan - "Home taping is killing music".
These days, if a DJ is recording his set, then usually it will get uploaded to SoundCloud, Mixcloud or a podcast somewhere. People regularly post their links on here and even offer the material for sale.

I for one have lots of recorded set of mine, but I wouldn't use Content Unlimited tracks (or any other protected tracks) for it.
Streaming services - even cache-able streaming services like CU - is for streaming, not for recording
Because ones the track is recorded you can do anything with it that is outside the license for streaming (share it, post it, upload it)
You might not do that. But you can

First of all, my point is not trying to bypass the "protected" part of the music, because, I don't even use the service.
I just gave him a tip on how to record a set. That's the way I do it when I played live and on Virtual Dj Radio. BTW, every set on virtual dj radio gets recorded, no matter where the music is coming from.
So, everyone is responsible for his own acts. Again, it was not my intention to record protected music, or whatsoever , but I believe that knowledge is power and everyone should share it.
meanwhile, I'll enjoy one of Mr. klaus mogensen mix on mixcloud.
Happy New Year fellows!

Almost noone listens to my mixes on mixcloud :)
Anyway... That's all licensed and paid for. So please do
- as long it's only streamed and not downloaded somehow.

Can you broadcast them or is this a gray area?
For broadcasting Atomix says:
Broadcast directly to the virtualdj.com servers and save your mixes. Enter an Episode Name for the Podcast and click on START BROADCAST. To manage your podcasts, click on the link provided.

I just did a test where i broadcasted to virtualdj.com using the podcast mode, and that worked fine with both local tracks and CU content
So at least technically it looks like you can
