So... Looking at the American Audio VMS5 and the Denon MC4000 controllers, since I can get both for similar prices.
I would like something that can do dual microphones, and would be nice to have 1 or 2 non PC (USB) inputs as well. This makes me lean toward the VMS5. However... the Denon's are just nice ;)
Any recommendations? Anything else in the $330-400 range I should look at?

I looked very closely at the VMS, but as there's no official American Audio distributor in this country, I went with the Denon.
I tried it (at home) for a few days then upgraded to the MC7000 anyway. However, I think if the VMS was available locally I might have stuck with that.

America Audio offer a lot of support to Atomix..more so than Denon.
The differences are small.

Based on American Audio's past prefomance with the VSM4 failures I'd say go with the Denon MC 4000 plus the fact that I own one and it's well built and has been flawless!!

Every review on the planet shows the VMS5 is hands-down 100% better than the 4, and even the 4.1 was a big improvement.
