Sujet Edirol UA25 for timecoded vinyl?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi guys,

We recently bought an Edirol UA25 in the hope of being able to plug in a pair of recently bought KRK Rokit 6's as well as using timecoded vinyl.

All drivers are set up and the KRK's are going fine when just playing audio from the laptop, however it's looking like we may not be able to use this interface for timecoded vinyl (our own fault for not doing our research but still highly annoying!) so I was wondering if;

a) If anyone can suggest a way that the edirol UA25 actually be used for timecoded vinyl? and;
b) If not, can anyone recommend an audio interface that CAN be used for timecoded vinyl as well as having XLR outputs for the KRK's?

Cheers folks :)

I am using an American Audio VMS4 and it works fine with timecode and has the XLR ouputs you need. I am sure there are plenty of others out there that work as well, but the VMS4 or VMS4.1 [Better audio card) offers a nice balance between function and price.

Enjoy!

The VMS4 is a controller, not just an audio interface. Also it would be the last thing I'd recommend.

I was foolish enough to buy one when they first came out, and had no end of problems (why'd you think they eventually came out with the 4.1?).

@wotonden the UA25 is not designed for DJ use. It's a home studio / musician's interface.

Do some Google searches for timecode audio interface or similar and you'll find suitable products. Denon's DS1 for instance. XLR outs are not likely, because these types of interface are intended for use with mixers (and the mixers have the XLRs).

I don't think home users are able to use timecode, check here
