Sujet Remote volume sliders

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I've successfully installed the VDJ Remote for Android (Samsung Galaxy Tab4) quite a while ago but I have never been able to get the volume sliders to actually control the volume on the controller. The Remote will make the sliders move up and down as if to raise or lower the volume levels but it doesn't actually make any difference to the volume at all. It stays at the same current level. Can anyone suggest the correct way to operate the volume via the remote please? Is it simply changing a setting somewhere?

Do you have some kind of stand alone function on your controller/mixer, so that VDJ doesn't control the volume?

Off topic, but are you sure both use the same currency ? Taxes may apply as well.

I'm using the VMS4.1 which has a built in mixer. Another contributor on the VDJ FB group has said this is the specific reason why the app won't control the volume on the controller/laptop. If he's correct, that's a bit disappointing.

Ok, I don't know the VMS4.1 so well.
But if that is the reason, and VDJ isn't handling the volumes, then I guess there is little to do. Then only physically moving the sliders will control the volume of the unit
But it may have a MIDI mode or something like that, where it doesn't act as a hardware controller.
Does anybody know?

You could remove the fake_mixer on command from ONINIT in the controller's mapper.
That way as long as the phyiscial faders are up you could still use the ones on-screen as well.

You can't use it the other way though. If the faders are down on the controller, then it's the controller that mutes the volume, so there's no way to bring it back up from the computer.
