Hey experts!
I am building a basement bar and was looking for music/video entertainment. Was told about virtual DJ and it looks like what I was looking for. I was an old school DJ back in the late 80's (hotel club, so not too fancy) and I don't know if I will get in to the heavy mixing in my new bar. But I want to be able to add that option down the road if I want to pre mix some sound tracks for the bar/parties. I want to be able to play a variety of music. I could use spotify or similar programs, but I like the future capabilities of virtual DJ and also the video aspect.
So my question(s) are what do I need to do this? Technology is way over my head now. In my old school it was just hook up a couple speakers to an amp and turn tables.
I have a laptop and/or iPad for use. What and how do I hook this all up? What amp should I use? I have two zones for the music to go. Yamaha RX a860 was suggested. How do I get the videos to my tvs?
Sorry for the generic questions, but need to have all the wiring set up to handle what I want to do during the construction.

Where are you doing this? In your home, or as a business?
How large is the space? The Yamaha is a home hifi amp with only 100 watts per channel.

This will be done at my house. I have about a 500 sq foot bar area and a 1000 sq foot sports court area. All indoors.

hos y havew I can be good DJ,i play music thru pc to pc,but I see I don't have any listeners.i pass the site ?wath I do wrong, in my country Honduras I have 2 EV powered speaker 1000watts each 1 subwoofrs 700 watts,like have little business,iam retired already.Any advice

You will need a laptop with HDMI or DisplayPort out for video. If you have multiple TVs, you will need a video splitter to correspond to the output from the laptop. I would stick with HDMI as most TVs have these inputs. I would get a small two channel mixer, because you will want to mix one day. So the simple way for audio is, headphone jack out of the laptop, split it to the mixer, and out of the mixer to the amp, and then to the speakers. If you want to have better sound, I would get a controller (mixer, sound card, and controller all in one). They have some inexpensive ones, and it will take up less counter space than separates. Come out of the laptop with USB to the controller, then to the speakers. Make sure that all outputs will fit into inputs, (as in RCA to RCA, or XLR to XLR). If you run into incompatible hookups, there are cables available with convertible ends, (RCA to XLR, etc.). For the second zone, you can use the booth out of the mixer, or controller to a second amp or powered speakers. I can't be more specific be cause I am not there, and don't know the space limits for the equipment. Also be advised that long cable runs need good quality cables, and HDMI over 100' need powered extensions or I would go with cat5 or 6. That will require converters on each end per TV.
