I've just transferred all of my songs from my old lap top to new one, most songs work in VDj8 but some albums are not loading.
When they load they are about 1 second long with nothing there.
Any ideas a?

Did you transfer the data base from the old computer to the new one? The file size of the same song, are the same on both computers?

Yes.
I think the issue is that the songs I can't play are protected.
Any ideas on a quick and easy way to unprotected them?

Where did you get them from? What format are they in?
If they are protected then they're not (as you said) your songs. As such, it's not legal to remove that protection. It's there for a reason.
