The history feature that VDJ has is fantastic and a very useful tool, especially past playlists (for inspiration). My question is this:
Is there anyway I can select the history file to capture Album and Genre, Instead of the Artist and Title to the text document?

You can use the export browser view function for this
When you're looking at the history list, just enable those two columns, export the list then remove them again.
The file export sends whatever is visible in the browser area.
