On the audio settings, if I click on line input I get an "Analog Mixer license needed" even though I just bought it.
Also can I return the license? I just bought it, but I'm not even sure I need it, as I only want to record a mix, not for professional use.

The license should be on your user account. So the account you used when buying the license is the same you use on this forum, and the same you use to log into the software
But looking at your account used on this forum, it doesn't look like you have a paid for license. Instead it seems to be a free home license. That's a problem, because then VDJ won't know about the license either, if you use the same account to log into the software
