Does the following do what you want:
switch off video floating window/additional display:
By preview I assume you mean the one on the skin/interface itself and not the external display.
There is no way of turning this off unless you turn video off completely.

action="video_output off"to use on a button:
action="video_output ? video_output off : video_output on"

action="video"You can use that on a button and it will toggle the video state on and off.
