I was using two different Numark NV and NVII with
a laptop with Windows 8.1, no issues but sold them for this new Controller.
I downloaded and installed the drivers again for Windows 8.1 and picked the correct settings also restarted both the laptop and the Controller, but the play and pause buttons are not activated and the platters don't show the track information that it should while the tracks are playing the software.
The only time I see the play and pause buttons and the Platters activated is when the Controller goes into DEMO MODE.
Am I missing a step in the installation phase???
Please advise.

Everything else works? just not play and pause? (+ jog displays? ) sounds strange.
Make sure you have the latest firmware and drivers installed :
